Clean & Service –
What is a clean and service?
- A standard clean and service includes a complete breakdown of the entire reel.
- Grease is applied to drags and gears.
- Mineral oil is applied to bearings and other important parts.
How often should reels be serviced?
- Saltwater reels are recommended to be cleaned and serviced 1-2 times a year.
- Freshwater reels are recommended to be cleaned and serviced 1 time a year.
- Commercial or sportfishing operations are recommended to have reels serviced on a regular basis.
Will parts be replaced?
- Generally, a clean and service does not require parts to be replaced.
- Occasionally parts (drags, bearings, gears, etc) get worn out and need to be replaced.
- Customers will be contacted if parts need to be replaced.
How long will a clean and service take?
- Current turnaround times are posted in the link at the bottom of the page.
- Shipment of parts, if needed, may require extra time.
- Shipping to and from Reel Movement is not included in current turnaround times.
- Bulk orders of 12 reels or more will require more time for completion.
- Please refer to the bulk order turnaround times.
Repairs –
What is a repair?
- Reels can be repaired without performing an entire clean and service.
- Per customer request, a repair alone will get the reel back in working order.
- If the reel does not need a clean and service then a repair is a good option.
- New parts are often necessary when repairing a reel.
- Sometimes, a repair is a quick and simple process that can be completed quickly; in that case, the reel could be completed sooner than the current turnaround time.
Can fishing rods be repaired?
- Fishing rods can be repaired.
- Rod tip tops, reel seats, and rod handles can be repaired.
- A rod broken in two pieces can not be fixed.
- Almost all forms of rod repair require new components.
- This is a chance to customize your tackle; different materials, colors, and styles can all be fitted into your rod repair.
Express Services –
What is an express service?
- Express services have a turnaround time of 48 hours.
- If you are on a time crunch and need your tackle by a certain date (your annual fishing trip is coming up), this a good option.
- Be sure to note on your order the date you need your tackle and we will do our best to accommodate that request.
- If a repair is needed on top of an express service, please try to contact us as soon as possible so we can get a jump start on ordering parts.

How and where do I send my tackle?
- Please send your tackle to – 70 Valerie Cir, Sparks, NV 89436
- Be sure to pack your rods and reels well to avoid damage in shipping.
- Please include the following information – Your name, phone number, return address, make and models of all tackle, and what the problem seems to be.
What about payment?
- We will contact you to receive payment when your order is completed.
- We require payment before your order can be shipped out – we accept all major credit cards, PayPal, Venmo and checks.
How do I get my tackle back?
- When we contact you about payment, we will also confirm your return shipping address.
- We offer free return shipping on most orders.
- After payment is received, most orders ship out within 24 hours.
